Other ideas:

Display a new Welcoming bulletin Image by changing your cover sheet to reflect the Year of Evangelization, the Catholics Come Home Program or other Catholic themes. Here is a suggested listing:

  • Use the Year of Evangelization Logo “Return to Me with All Your Heart”
  • Use an image of the Eucharist, “The Source and Summit of Our Catholic Faith.”
  • Use an image of people, your parishioners if possible, in service to others.
  • Use an image that reflects Stewardship in your parish e.g. one that highlights one or more of you parish ministries.
  • Keep it simple and just say: Hi. Or Welcome. Or New to the parish? Say hello to the pastor after Mass!

Please email any bulletin inserts that you create so that we can share them with all parishes. Email to evangelizationcommittee@dioceseofprovidence.org. Thanks!

St. Catherine’s, Warwick Invites Catholics Home

In a flyer distributed two weeks ago, we asked each parishioner to take part in this dimension of the Year of Evangelization by inviting Catholics home to our parish community. St. Catherine’s will host an open house at the church on February 18th . We will: welcome parishioners and their guests; renew acquaintances with the parish and the Catholic Church; discuss what the church has to offer people today; and consider how we can help people feel at home once again with the church. Please prayerfully consider whom you can invite to join us for this event. We will meet at 7 PM in the church hall for socializing and conversation. We plan on a relaxed and informative hour or so. We all have friends and relatives just a step away from returning to our family and we need your helping in guiding them home. Please make an attempt to invite at least one person to join you and us for this evening.
